-- SCORES --
I write music for solo piano and at some point needed to put it on paper. Here is a sample selection of some of my piano scores and others.
Free (3) Gnomes Descending into a Reactor
for solo piano
This score was written as exercise of graphic notation. Initially for a solo piano but can be reimagined for any combination of instrumnets and a maximum of 3 players.
Recording produced is of Nikita Smelkov (piano), Reilly Duncan (guitar), Azamat Nigmatullin (theremin) improvising on the idea.

На Пересадке (In Transfer)
for solo piano
This piece was greatly inspired by piano work of Philip Glass. After learning Glassworks: Opening I had a great passion for the polyrhythmic feeling and wanted to arrive at a similar destination.
This piece is about the busy world of underground transportation. Please enjoy this crappy MIDI recording.

Жизнь в Гетто
for full orchestra
This score came out as a piano idea which expanded into something more grand.
I had an initial feeling I needed to draft quick, listen to the initial piano recording, and then the full orchestra rendition that came out of it.

Дождик (Gentle rain)
for a wet ensemble
I love rain. A LOT.
My favorite time to play piano is rain-time. At some point I am going to release a whole EP dedicated to just rain.
This composition will be the first one up there. I wrote it for the New Music Ensemble at SCU and structured it as an improv piece somewhat resembling of Terry Riley's "In C"

Abyssal Popcorn
for laptop orchestra
I experimented writting scores for strings using similar principals invented by Krzysztof Penderecki, who is most well known for 'Threnody to Hiroshima'.
This score is Penderecki's glides adopted for a live coding setting of the Santa Clara Laptop Orchestra. The piece was performed once with 9 players and 1 conductor, try following the score to it.

I am Standing on a Chair in a Room
for MDF 233
This piece is a homage to the famous work of Alvin Lucier titled "I am Sitting in a Room". It is a feedback piece specifically recorded to be played at Santa Clara University's Music Department room 233, as it accumulates resonant frequencies of that specific space.

-- SOLO PIANO --
My primary instrument is piano. I discovered the passion for it in 2019 and since then been actively teaching myself how to play, which is a never ending process of search for the human essence. I really enjoy minimalism, a good amount of my composition settles there. Take a listen to some crappy phone recordings of my playing.

-- Live Performance --
I play piano and make live noises with numbers on my laptop. I had the pleasure to perform and write original scores for a variety of ensembles while at Santa Clara University, and for other collectives too. Here is some documentation.

I played keyboard for an indie-rock band MADXSEN. We got to perform all over the Bay Area with our original songs - our focus later shifted towards recording a full length LP.

SuperCollider is a phenomenal language/engine for sound synthesis and algorithmic composition. The past two years I've been learning how to do crazy things with it, proud to call it my secondary instrument! Check this out!
